About Tritype®
Tritype® refers to a 27-point typing system that is an advanced and more specific application of the Enneagram that was created and coined by Enneagram teacher, researcher, and coach, Katherine Chernick Fauvre. Tritype®, originally named 3Types, Trigrams, and TriCenter, is based on Katherine’s theory that while individuals primarily use one Enneagram Type as their ‘core type,’ everyone actually uses three Enneagram Types; the dominant Enneagram Type within each center of intelligence: the head (5,6,7), heart (2,3,4) and gut (8,9,1). These three types are used in an oscillating, repeating, descending, and hierarchal stacking order. The defense strategies of the types within the Tritype® merge to create a more specific focus of attention, a “new” type unto itself with a shared worldview which is one’s Tritype® Archetype. Research suggests that the common theme found among the three types within an individual’s Tritype® identifies that individual’s archetypal life purpose and a critical blind spot to self-awareness. The dominant type of the three types in your Tritype® is your “core” Enneagram type.

Introduction to Tritype®: Advanced Enneagram Tritype®
In this new and advanced Enneagram Tritype® video, Katherine talks about many aspects of Tritype® and relationships that you may not have heard her explain in her other Tritype® videos. How does knowing your Tritype® help you in life, with relationships, and on your spiritual journey? In this video, Katherine Chernick Fauvre talks about how Tritype® evolved as well as how knowing your Tritype® enables you to recognize and understand what matters to you the most and why. The three types in your Tritype® combine to create a more specific sense of self and a corresponding sense of purpose. Learn how Tritype® helps you understand your sense of purpose because it names the Holy Ideas and Holy Virtues that are important to each Tritype®.  For example, with the 469, the Holy Idea of 4 is Holy Origin, for the 6 it is Holy Faith, and for 9 it is Holy Love. So, the 469 feels a sense of purpose and a resulting inner brilliance when they use their essential qualities of Holy Origin, Faith, and Love. So, these three essential types combine to create a more specific focus, which shows itself as a constant desire to experience and express Unconditional Love by knowing the origin of Creation,  and the Higher Faith needed to believe in something you cannot see.

A special thank you to Waldemar Bandosz for creating the Tristar Image showing the Unfolding of the 27 Tritypes®. And to Rob Callopy (Zeke), for being kind enough to use his graphic skills to help me create the two early Tritype® visuals for my courses and books to make it easier for students to visualize what my research revealed about the Unfolding of the 27 Tritypes®.
